Today is Sinterklaas day in the Lowlands, a special day to look forward to when I was a kid since it is tradition in the Lowlands that all children will get presents today. Mind you, children that hav...

Today is Leidens Ontzet which is a day of celebration in the town I was born, I've written a post two years ago about the siege of Leiden in 1574 by Spanish soldiers during the Eighty Year's War. Odd...

I wasn't pissed... honestly! I was in trance!... ...
It's Wednesday and I'm still feeling tired and drained, I think I haven't had enough sleep last week; going to bed late and getting up early. I have a cold since Monday, I'm trying to fight it: I don'...

Wedding Day

| | Tickle My Senses (2)
It's Saturday morning, the day of the wedding. I have to get ready in a while so I won't be writing a long post. Yesterday morning I met up with Christiaan at 'De Prins' to have a chat with him, a per...

Busy busy Bee...

| | Tickle My Senses (2)
Things have been hectic for two days and I was really tired last night [Wednesday] when I came home, I didn't feel like writing. I just went straight to bed asap to catch up on sleep... So I will try ...

Pampering

| | Tickle My Senses (2)
I tried to get up early this morning but I seemed to be as quick as the speed of a really, really slow snail; it took me ages to get ready. I reckon it had to do with the fact that it was pissing down...

I'm Here! [or there...]

| | Tickle My Senses (6)
It feels great to be back in the Lowlands... when I arrived at the airport yesterday it was raining but Dutch rain never felt this good before and it's so totally different from English rain, I swear!...

Meeting Of Minds

| | Tickle My Senses (6)
It's been a bit quiet on here lately: I haven't written anything since last Thursday when I found out about the recent infestation of Dutch caterpillars in London... I haven't written much since then ...
I have been invited by Kimm to come over and spent Queensday at the usual spots, Vondelpark and Cafe The Soundgarden but it would've been a last minute [therefore an expensive] decision. I wasn't real...

About Tess

Occupation:
- Managing Director

  Web Designer
  Graphic Designer
  Multimedia Designer
  Digital Artist & Pixel Fukcer

Expat Life: I moved from Amsterdam to London, Aug. 2006. Things didn't quite work out as planned and I found myself on my own in a foreign country.

Reflection: 2007 Has been a difficult year but I've managed to accomplish a lot more than I thought I ever could. I've set up my own business, survived a serious health issue, met some amazing people and found my future...

Personality: At times stuck in a time warp of ideas and thoughts, Mixed Blood [Eurasian seems to be the fancy word for it: Indonesian and Dutch], typical Capricornish Goat, Sensitive, Crazy about Apple Macs and anything related, Gadget Girl, Intelligent, Psychological profiling of all kind, Sucker for all sorts of stuff that makes my OS run like: Coffee and Chocolate, Deep Thinker, Perfectionist, Foolish, Silly, Stubborn [WHAT?... ME? I don't think so... tsk, pffft....]

Indulgence: English full breakfast once in a while when not counting calories, Indonesian fried rice and a Sateh [Nasi Goreng] like my great grandma used to make, Thai Tom Ka Kai or Thai Green Curry Noodle soup original traditional recipes, definitely a peaty Islay Scotch preferably shared with my best friends in Scotland [Inge and Frank] and a Dutch coffee when I'm in Amsterdam with a piece of Dark Chocolate!

Proud Owner: Mac Classic †, Mac LC II †, PowerMac 6500 †, Performa 6800 †, Power Mac 8200 †, iBook Tangerine †, PowerBook G4, iPod shuffle, iSight, Power Mac G5.
