A Mystery...
Monday I had my blood test done and for the first time, ever since I've moved here, I was confronted with the bureaucracy of the UK health system and I was not happy about it to be honest. What could have been done in about five minutes took fifty minutes instead and I was sent from one place to the other and back again; most annoying, especially if you don't have much energy and want things to be done and over with asap. After fifty minutes I finally ended up waiting for my turn to have blood taken and was in and out in five minutes, no pain, no bruises this time.
Today I had to see the doctor to discuss the results of all the previous tests so I took the bus again to the hospital and waited for the doctor to come see me which took about twenty minutes. She took me to a room to discuss things. She told me, all the tests had come out negative for hepatitis, which was a major relief to me. So the only reason why I ended up in hospital with a liver malfunction could be the Chinese tea that I have been drinking for five weeks. The doctor said I have been lucky, I went to hospital on time, I could've ended up having severe liver damage, she said people have died of the Chinese tea treatment. It's like having allergies, it could harm some but others might never be affected at all. She said this must have come as a bit of a shock to me and if I'm honest it is in a way. I really put my faith and trust in this treatment only to find myself in hospital five weeks later... I will have to come back for more blood test in three/four weeks and take things slow in the meantime.
I have to say I'm happy about the test results but it all remains some kind of mystery to me still...

Now get some sleep so you don't have to visit this building more often (nag, nag)......although you're right, it is neat :-)
It's such a beautiful place, I love all those arches and the architecture, it's built in a square... Inside is a huge corridor from one end to the other with huge windows. They were putting plastic on the tiny windows to hide the view, such a shame because it looks so interesting even though some views are a bit 'industrial' it still looks neat. I don't understand why they have to cover it up...
I had my sleep ;)
As the wise man said: "what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger".
I'm seriously glad that it's nothing more serious than tea poisoning! :)
Hi Paul, thank you :)
I feel better but I'm still not 100% and tired most of the time... so taking things really slow.
I visited you yesterday but no recent post, guess you must be busy still with Britster, how is it going??? I'm sorry I wasn't much use... but couldn't find any bugs anyway :)
Must have been your programming skills ;)
I have been quite busy with Britster - but I've also been occupying myself with building my Internet empire! In other words, I've suddenly got interested in site flipping in a big way... ;)
Building your Internet empire: how is that? In simple words: visiting and leaving comments to please Technorati perhaps? ;)
Nope... Nothing to do with blogging actually! I've been rapidly buying and selling (aka flipping) sites on several marketplace forums.
A total of 27 sites have passed through my hands in the last two weeks - netting me a nice profit of just over £200. Not bad for about two hours work in total! ;)
I've also bought a few very cool domains, along with some scripts and some content - with the notion of putting it all together and building some nice AdSense-friendly sites that can just site online and make me money for nothing!
Early trials of the second idea got me $1.97 from Google in a week. Doesn't sound like much, but if I have twenty sites that each bring in $2 a week then I'll be pulling about £960 a year out of thin air! :)
Oh my... do I hear the entrepreneurial Paul talking? :p Good for you!!!
Flippin: is that how you ran into that dodgy person with the multiple personality disorder ;)
Yeah, I got bored with being the designer Paul - not enough income for my expensive tastes! ;)
hehe. . . for my recent sample I had to take a number.
No kidding! Just like some gov. office (which it is sorta), they had the dispenser on the wall where ya pull off a paper ticket with a number on it and then wait for your number to light up on the marquee!
And just that wait was about 30 minutes after already being there for 3 hours or so.
