I seem to be having problems with my database connection at times. I noticed it a while ago and had it sorted out by my ISP. It happened again last week when Elle tried to leave me a comment and I'm happy she mentioned it in an email to me [thanks again!] so I could sort it out. Today I had the same problem...

So if you experience an error like this: Got an error: Bad ObjectDriver config: Connection error: Too many connections, then please be patient and try again at some other time or send me an email. Apparently a server needs a reboot according to my ISP and it seems to be a 'common' problem with MT and MySQL according to the web. There are more people out there experiencing the same issue with Movable Type.

Perhaps it's a bug, but they [MT] say it's not... So for now I'm stuck and will have to contact my ISP about this whenever it occurs.

Wat ik heb begrepen is dat ze een x-aantal connecties toestaan op een database server, als er op diezelfde server iemand zit die 20.000 hits per dag krijgt en ze laten er maar 20.000 in totaal toe dan heb je in principe pech en moet de server gereset worden...

t Ligt aan Cat. waarschijnlijk, ik heb drie keer om uitleg gevraagd maar ze geven geen antwoord helaas. t Probleem ligt echt bij hun servers. Zal me niets verbazen als jouw Drupal bij hun op de servers draait?...

Expat Life: I moved from Amsterdam to London, Aug. 2006. Things didn't quite work out as planned and I found myself on my own in a foreign country.

Reflection: 2007 Has been a difficult year but I've managed to accomplish a lot more than I thought I ever could. I've set up my own business, survived a serious health issue, met some amazing people and found my future...

Personality: At times stuck in a time warp of ideas and thoughts, Mixed Blood [Eurasian seems to be the fancy word for it: Indonesian and Dutch], typical Capricornish Goat, Sensitive, Crazy about Apple Macs and anything related, Gadget Girl, Intelligent, Psychological profiling of all kind, Sucker for all sorts of stuff that makes my OS run like: Coffee and Chocolate, Deep Thinker, Perfectionist, Foolish, Silly, Stubborn [WHAT?... ME? I don't think so... tsk, pffft....]

Indulgence: English full breakfast once in a while when not counting calories, Indonesian fried rice and a Sateh [Nasi Goreng] like my great grandma used to make, Thai Tom Ka Kai or Thai Green Curry Noodle soup original traditional recipes, definitely a peaty Islay Scotch preferably shared with my best friends in Scotland [Inge and Frank] and a Dutch coffee when I'm in Amsterdam with a piece of Dark Chocolate!
