Short Trip

|

We went back to France again, just a short trip for a-family-get-together; the whole English clan. We didn't drive over but took the plane to Nice which is much faster but less fun [I like driving in my little Red Monster] and this time I also didn't have to work my @$$ off emoticons/biggrin.gif

We had a great time relaxing, enjoying A.'s house, having lunch with the family, dinner with the family, hiking, visiting the local market, sun bathing, swimming in the pool, etc.etc. The house is fully booked till January next year so since there was one week left of no bookings we took the opportunity to go back again and stay a few days.

I had business cards printed for A., a little surprise for him, we brought them along and left them there for people to take back home and hand out to friends or family. I had to finish one more thing: the teak table. I really needed to seal it in order to protect it from stains... There is still some more work to do but for now it's fine. I will also have to finish the website asap. Not sure if I can still do that before we'll move...

For the first time this year we heard 'Les Sangliers' [wild boar] while we were sitting on the upper terrace enjoying the warm night. I heard on and off screaming, like something or someone was getting hurt. It could totally freak you out if you don't realise what it is! Scary! At some point it was on A.'s plots of land next to the house and of course I couldn't resist. I took the torch and went out. I heard the noises about a couple of metres away from me: snouts digging the soil and sniffing everywhere. I didn't want to get too close, if they have offspring then they could become vicious. I couldn't see them though.

A. and I walked down the road to see where they were but it was too dark and we were probably too noisy. It was a weird night. We also saw some green glow coming from the dry ditch where the river runs in winter time; very bright but we couldn't check it out [probably lots of fire flies]. The boars might have been in that area, also the jungle of plants and trees [olive, grape, cherry etc.] that are growing on A.'s land is too dense. There are snakes hiding in the grass and you really don't want to walk there in the middle of the night. Trust me...

Anyway... we had lots of fun down south in provençe; no stress this time just relaxation. emoticons/laughing.gif
