Goodbye Party
I had a goodbye party this evening at the pub [Gambrinus]. I met up with my colleagues to have a meeting and farewell party in one go... We sat outside on the terrace for a while because it was a beautiful day, very warm and sunny while Christiaan, Martin and I waited for Chris and Annemarie to arrive. They gave me a cool gadget: a sport pedometer, for registering distance, calories, speed, [with alarm, watch, chronograph etc.] while running. I'll try it this Saturday! Awesome gift!
When it started to get colder we went inside. Martin made reservations so we could sit down straight away and we didn't have to wait for other people to finish. A nice big table, solid wood: one I wouldn't mind having myself because it looks old and used [see last picture below] and so beautiful. Dinner was good and I allowed myself to have one glass of wine since it would be the last opportunity to have a drink with my colleagues.
We stayed till around midnight. I walked home [I had taken a taxi from home to the pub]. Annemarie joined me, we walked about half way back home. Annemarie had to go into another direction after a while so I continued walking on my own. I called A. to see if he was still awake, he was, but already in bed. He tried to pick me up but had to call me to cancel because the car was totally blocked up the front and back. Nice neighbours...
Lucky me a taxi passed by just a few minutes later so I was home in 5 minutes...
