Mouse Trap
My neighbour Monique has a serious mouse problem. Her apt has been invaded by a mice colony. Don't worry, mine are still in their own little container... She used poison but they seem to like it and they refuse to turn into mummies. A. ran into Monique on the train the other day and asked her about the problem. We can actually hear them at night running around the space between the ceiling of our bedroom and their bedroom floor.
She's kept awake all night by the sound of exercising mice. For us it is not that bad yet. Since the poison doesn't seem to be effective she changed her methods and is now using some kind of high pitch sound system to turn them into deaf mummies. I don't think it will help though, I can still hear them and last week, one mouse kept me awake all night as well. He found his way to the bin and was eating holes in the bag. He didn't understand that there was a lid on the bin so there was no way he could get in.
It took me half the night to figure out where the noise came from and at six in the morning I finally discovered where it was hiding when it dropped itself from the bin down on the floor, rushing away and hiding under the counter. I pushed the bag in the bin and closed the lit. The mouse never came back and it was quiet in the kitchen again. I had to get up at seven so there was no way I could catch up some sleep. I'm glad it was just one night though!
I have my own methods when it decides to return to my kingdom... I have a friendly mouse trap and used it successfully in the past! Let's just wait and see what happens first...
