The Weekend
I still don't feel well. I still have a bad cough and I stayed home for almost two weeks. I didn't feel like going out of the house because it was either cold or wet. So also this weekend we stayed in. A. had to study for his exam and I had to sort out furniture for the UK apartment. I also worked on my other content management system; Movable Type. I had it all working and checked it some weeks ago on A.'s PC and to my surprise it was total horror. So I had to start all over again building templates. This time I did it in two days instead of a couple of weeks.
So the positive side to it, is that I gained experience and knowledge [that's just a simple excuse to make me feel better about the fact that I had to do it all over again]. I do wish that someone would design a universal browser once and for all. I'm fed up with having to deal with pixel widths, tags and other syntax that works in one browser but doesn't work in the other... I managed to design something that looks wonderful in Safari and good in Internet Exploder and I can live with it so no more faffing and from now on I will post my stuff on the other blog as well until I will change host; from twats to Irish lads, which will be in October this year.
Anyway sorting out the templates was fun but sorting out the apartment in the UK was even more fun. I showed A. a few solutions in organising the office space. Because I will have to work from there most of the time I need it to be convenient. I found something that we both like so we will buy this, one each and there will still be plenty room left for some extra stuff. A. bought some application online that will help you design a floor plan, so he's put in all the measurements and we started to move furniture around. This is some of the furniture that we're going to buy once we're there...
