Friday the 13th, The Day After
I can't sleep yet; I'm just not tired which sounds funny after 10 hours of hard work, so I guess it's okay to write a bit... I had a wonderful evening last night. A. came home earlier, I was about to get ready so I told him to take a nap while I was busy. I woke him up about 45 minutes later although I was finished within 20 minutes; I just wanted him to rest.
We took a taxi to the restaurant where A. had made reservations, 'Le Pêcheur', a very nice restaurant, French... and fish of course. We had 4 courses, the food was absolutely fantastic, each spoonful was an explosion of flavours. I also had my first oyster. It was alright but I wouldn't want to have a whole plate of it to be honest, I rather have some lobster [had that too *grin*].
We had a very nice evening together and A. has been truly spoiling me... He wanted me to open all the presents but I asked him to bring two to the restaurant so I could open them there. He bought me a ball pen for my diary and a beautiful necklace to suit the ring that he bought me for xMas 2004. I asked him if it was alright to open the other presents in bed when we would be home again. No idea why but it feels cozy, guess because that's what my parents used to do when we were kids, open the presents in bed...
Well needless to say that each of them are wonderful! Two Clinique products and some more painting gear, like an easel, a book about techniques, an extra brush for highlights, an artistic pallet. I'm absolutely ready to start now... So no more excuses, just a little bit more time...
Thanks everyone for the phone calls, emails from France and the UK and all the snail mail and text messages! I had a wonderful birthday after all! A big fat kiss to A.... thanks little rascal *wink* ![]()
