Dead Rat
There's a dead rat, stuck with his head in a whole in the wall. It's in my tiny garden in the front of the house, surrounded by all the lavender so basically out of sight... The only thing that could indicate a decaying rat are the millions of flies that are buzzing around the lavender. Some people might think that's normal; like bees would fly near lavender, but it isn't really...
It has been lying there for a while already, I think ever since we came back from Scotland. I had a look at it twice and the first time was horrible. The stench is overwhelming especially when the weather is nice like today and like all the previous days. It makes me want to throw up so I'd rather block the picture in my mind and the smell from my nostrils.
It was so bad at one point that I could smell it in the living room. A. mentioned it too but at first I thought it was a plant, one that I had given too much water so the roots would be rotting, that's a nice smell too I tell ya. Each morning when I woke up and opened the door to the living room the stench was there. I smelt the plant but it wasn't that and so later I found out what was causing this stench when I discovered the flies and the dead rat...
I asked a few people what I should do about it and they've said that I have to call this special department at the city hall. I'll do that tomorrow. I've got rid of the telephone book because it's too big and I don't really use it anyway. I'd rather use the online version. So in a while I will have to look up the phone number thru the internet and see if I can arrange something as soon as possible.
I promise I won't take pictures this time ![]()
