Edinburgh
We had to pack all our stuff this morning. I bought so much I can hardly fit it into my suitcase so I had to reorganise everything... A bit of a pain I can tell ya! It took me a while and the reason why I wanted to finish this is because I already know that we won't have time to do this tonight. I would like to go to bed early because we will have to get up at 04.50 in the morning and leave at 05.30...
Otherwise we will never make it to the airport on time. From where Inge and Frank live to Glasgow is at least an hour drive although according to Frank we would be safe in the morning not having to worry about traffic jams. Glasgow can be pretty hectic so it seems. I noticed it's a huge industrial city and the ring road takes already at least 15 minutes *grin* Anyway, we packed our stuff and since it took me a while we didn't have much time left for Edinburgh... Hey I'm a girl and girls need time... And guys should know that girls need time and therefore be a little more patient with us... *tsk*
We decided to go to Edinburgh anyway so we left as soon as possible without having breakfast though. Edinburgh is also about an hour drive. When we got there the festival was still going on. I didn't feel like going there because to be honest, I think that whole festival thing is blown way out of proportions. I don't like this type of festival that much because I've seen too many shows and this festival is simply not my cup of tea. It was still busy though and A. decided to drive around a bit to get the feel of the city since we are thinking of moving there or perhaps Dublin.
He agreed with me; I told him that Edinburgh is a much nicer city than Glasgow. Glasgow made me feel depressed probably because of all the industrial areas that surround the city. We couldn't be bothered to go there and check it out because of this but I guess we should give it a fair chance still and go there again some day to see for ourselves whether it really is that bad or not.
After driving around town for a while we had something to eat and drove back to Inge and Frank where we arrived at about 18.30. Frank was already home and Inge had been busy cooking Indonesian food for tonight. We had dinner together at 20.00 after we put Moyra and Roger to bed. They're so cute! Inge read them a bed time story and I told them we wouldn't be there in the morning because we would leave early. I sad goodbye to them both. We stayed up a little bit longer, had a nice cup of tea and went to bed at about 22.00. It's been a great holiday and I'm a bit sad about having to leave but also happy about having to go home...
