Guilfest
We arrived at the festival at about 11.45 after having a nice English breakfast. We walked around a bit for a while. A. bought me a nice top because it was way too warm in the morning already. After checking out the tents and merchandise we decided to sit down near the main stage where we watched the following bands:
Tom Baxter which was very very good!!!
The Black Velvets which was totally crap...
Hal an Irish band that was also very good!!
We walked around for a while and went to the comedy tent where we watched this guy who wasn't that funny at all... But at least we were sitting in the shade for a while! I had hayfever problems as well due to the temperature and all the fresh mowed dried grass that was just flying around whenever someone moved. We went to this other stage and watched this band play for a while:
Jorane She tried to impersonate Alanis Morisette which was annoying and I thought she was high on something; just totally exaggerating. A shame because the music was good as long as she kept her mouth shut...
The highlight of the evening was supposed to be Paul Weller, but A. and I don't really like him. While I was looking for something to buy [bandana] A. went over to the second stage and checked out the band there. They were awesome!!! So we stayed there and watch them perform. It was an excellent show and the music is plain awesome. A. is going to buy the CDs. They are Ralph Myerz & The Jack Herren Band
The bands stopped playing at 23.00 and after that everyone immediately left the place. We had to wait for J. and S. to get to the other side of the parking where we were. They were stuck in traffic jams. It has been a cool day *not really; temperature wise* and I was pissed and exhausted, I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow...
