Best Friend...
It feels like it has been ages ago and in a way it is. It's been two years since I saw my best friend Inge. So far each summer I planned on going to Scotland but for some reason I couldn't go. Sounds like a lame excuse but it isn't. I do regret the fact I couldn't go there to see her, her hubby and the kids so therefore I was extremely happy when she called me on my cell phone to tell me that she would come over... I could only meet up with her one evening but that didn't matter because I was just so happy to be able to see her again after such a long time!
Inge stayed at a friends place so A. and I took a taxi because it was too cold to cycle there. She was babysitting her friends child and had asked me to come over. I bought her some X-mas presents: a necklace and loads of candles, Sesame Street CDroms for the kids and a nice whisky for Frank. She gave me some really cool whisky samples. She wants me to try them but I just can't: it's such a shame to open these tiny cute models... I think I should start collecting them and try the real deal when I'm in Scotland *grin* For now, I will put them in a safe place and use the stash in the kitchen instead ![]()
We had a wonderful evening, it was really good to see her again and it felt like nothing changed over those years. Inge and I can be in tears of laughter about things, I guess we both have a wild imagination and it only takes some silly remark made by one of us to roll on the floor laughing our ass off for at least half an hour. Every time we call each other we end up in tears of laughter. It's always good to talk to her because of that, she can simply brighten my day and that makes her someone special! In 2005 I will definitely go to Scotland no matter what happens, I will go there!
Inge... cheers girl, I'm having one on you!
